Roulette systems are more than just mere roulette strategies. These are a set of tactics and guidelines intended to make the player win at roulette. Roulette is known for being a totally random game that does not require skill to play, but roulette systems are set to turn it into one whose odds favor the player. The methods used by these systems certainly vary, but the goal remains the same.
Why Are Roulette Systems Not Always Successful?
Many believe that roulette systems can actually beat roulette. Online gambling entrepreneurs capitalized on this by selling various roulette systems online. These systems were heavily marketed and are presented with a convincing sales talk, resulting in some good sales. Sold as software products, most of these roulette systems are naturally applied to online roulette, where roulette software are usually legal and which is speculated to be more winnable than its counterpart in land-based casinos.
That said, people often treat an online roulette system as the solution to win at roulette. Little did many know that most roulette systems rely on the Gambler’s Fallacy, that is, the belief that there is a pattern on the wheel; in particular, an even-money bet like black is assumed to win sooner or later after it’s opposite red’s winning streak. A system that adheres to this principle can’t simply work due to roulette’s randomness. Indeed, not even systems that play on chance are always successful for the same reason.
Hypothetical Working Roulette Systems
Roulette systems that rely on fallacious “prediction” methods won’t cut it, and those that depend on chance and the game’s odds can’t guarantee wins. What then are roulette systems that work supposed to be like? Consider the following:
1. One that actually creates odds in favor of the player.
A working roulette system may not guarantee a win but at least should be able to alter the odds in favor of the gambler. This can be done by making certain bets that can possibly negate the house edge created by the zero slot, thus giving the player a perfect fifty-fifty chance of winning.
2. One that can truly predict the results.
Roulette systems that work are those that can actually tell what numbers will come up in the next spin. This can be possible if the system is coded after the online roulette software’s random number generator. By then however, the system will be considered a cheat and is therefore illegal.
3. One that can lead to profit while spending so carefully.
Another trait of a working system is that it preserves the bankroll in such a way that one can possibly play roulette indefinitely until he or she ends with a win. Definitely not a cheat, this is probably the most feasible of the three listed. If ever one should exist however, it surely won’t be a system for impatient players as it will likely involve painfully slow, grinding strategies.
It’s unfortunate however, that no roulette system can actually beat roulette on its own – yet. As for now, what roulette systems we have are subject to chance and thus, one can only profit using a roulette system with the right amount of luck.
