A Guide to Online Roulette Betting

Las Vegas is not the only place in the world where you see a lot of gamblers enjoying almost every game there is available in casinos.  Today, these players can just open up their computers and enjoy a good game like roulette. If you have not tried playing online roulette, make sure you know the online roulette betting rules first before you start playing.

Online Roulette Betting and Payout

There is something in roulette that makes casino goers love this game and just keep coming back for more. The game is so simple to understand. Players simply need to select between a single number or color, or combination bets (block of numbers, colors, odd or even). Here are the types of bets that a roulette player can choose from and its payout for winners:

•    Odd or even, red or black, numbers 1-18, numbers 19-36 (payout 1/1)

•    Number 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25-36 (payout 2/1)

•    Bet on 6 numbers (payout 5/1)

•    0, 00, 1 to 3 combos (payout 6/1)

•    Bet on 4 number combos (payout 8/1)

•    Bet on 3 number combos (payout 11/1)

•    Bet on 2 number combos (payout 17/1)

•    Single number bet (payout 35/1)

Although the profit is higher when you win in a single number bet, seasoned roulette players would recommend against it. This is because the chances of winning it is also very slim. Aside from that, you also need to consider if you are playing in an American roulette wheel which has an additional double zero on the wheel. This further increases the house advantage.

While roulette players realize that they will need a lot of luck to win this game, there are several players who are serious about their goal in beating roulette using a strategy. These strategies are also used by players in online roulette betting:

•    Labouchere Strategy – This strategy also uses a negative progression. Meaning, the player will need to increase the bet after every loss. With this strategy, a player needs to list a series of numbers. For example the series is 1 2 3 4 5 6. The player puts a bet on the first and last number on the set, and the amount placed on the bet is the total of the two numbers. In this case, the player bets on numbers 1 and 6 and bets 7 units.  If you win, you remove the first and last number on your set, which then makes it 2 3 4 5. If you lose however, you will need to add another number, then your set will become 1 2 3 4 5 6 7.

•    Andrucci Strategy – A strategy that was based on the concept of order in chaos.  The principle involved is that each number in the wheel should come out in the same frequency.  A player has to be a spectator first and observe or take down notes on the numbers that win for perhaps thirty spins. Afterwards, the player will select a number to bet amongst the numbers that frequently came out as a winner and also among the numbers that have never been picked. Then wager a single bet for 30 rounds. Then hope the number will come out at least once.

When you are trying to use a system for online roulette betting, never give up when you start to lose. However, you also need to keep in mind that this is a game of chance and you may lose all your money while hoping to win.
