Why You Should Play Royal Roulette

Royal Roulette is another variation of roulette that looks nothing like the traditional game found in casinos. This version of the game adds the playing aspect of the cards to roulette. Instead of numbers, you will bet on aces, clubs, hearts, and spades. The wheel and table layout is different, but the presence of the ball is unchanged. Instead of the usual roulette odds of 36 or 37 to one, this roulette offers odds of 47 to one. Other than the facts, great reasons can convince you to play this new roulette game.

It is Easy to Learn

If you enjoy playing card games more, a table game like Royal Roulette should provide the necessary change of pace in your gaming experience. You already count in card sequence so understanding a game of roulette that uses faces and numerals should require little effort. Roulette is also an easy game so it is does not take long to learn the ropes. It is a different matter if you want to learn the different type of bets by heart for convenience. The table layout is also not that difficult to understand. You can place your bet almost anywhere.

You Can Choose to Play Online or in a Real Casino

This variation of roulette is available in land-based casinos and online as well. If you need to choose between the two most popular types of roulette, you can now pick a third option. The odds of winning are reasonable and its suitable availability justifies the probability.

Some online casinos offer a fourth variation called no zero roulette where the house edge does not exist. The setback is that it is only available online. Maximum betting is limited and most roulette strategies tap out quickly.

Royal Roulette: Where Cards and the Wheel Meet

Roulette is an old casino game, but it is in no way antiquated and behind the times. It failed to lag behind technology, alongside which, it continues to grow. It has also evolved and keeps on doing so, splitting into many varieties that became all too familiar with. These varieties made roulette a lot more interesting, preventing it from becoming stale through time.

Roulette is Varied

Most people know of only two or three roulette variants, namely French, European, and American roulette. The first two both share the single zero roulette wheel and is thus often confused as the same variant, despite glaring visual differences. The last meanwhile is the prevalent variety in the Americas, particularly in the United States, and is notorious amongst roulette enthusiasts for its double zero wheel, which happens to have a higher house edge than both the French and European variants of roulette.

These aforementioned varieties display minor differences, and are actually perceived by many as the same roulette game on the surface. This led people to believe that all variations of roulette cannot truly deviate from the game’s original design. They’re wrong for that matter. Roulette has many variations that actually strayed away from the original set up, and one of these is Royal Roulette.

Royal Roulette: What is It and How is It Played

Royal Roulette is a curious hybrid of roulette and card games. This strange combination is reflected on the Royal Roulette table, which features betting spaces and wheel slots that are designed to accommodate playing cards.

The Royal Roulette wheel has 50 slots instead of the usual 37 or 38. The cards on the wheel’s slots are arranged in alternating red and black suits. There are no zeros in the Royal Roulette wheel – instead, we get an ace and a Joker in place of 0 and 00, respectively.

The betting spaces in the layout are arranged very similarly to that of American roulette. Spaces for individual cards are the centerpiece of the grid, divided into 12 sections, each containing a space for each card suit. The grid has both Ace and Joker at its head. Outside bets are pretty much the same, except that Royal Roulette has three “16s”, four columns, and spaces representing each suit.

This version of roulette is played like the standard game. One first has to place a wager on one or more cards or an outside bet. Now bets are almost the same except that you get the option of sixteen sets, a fourth column, and one of the four card suits, apart from the standard outside bets. After the allotted time, the dealer will then stop the betting process, spin the wheel, roll the ball, and do other things that roulette dealers do. The winning bet will be determined by the card where the ball lands on. Like in standard roulette variants, the pay outs are given out according to the probabilities of the ball landing on the winning bet, minus the house edge.

Royal Roulette is basically the same game as any standard roulette variants. However, it strayed quite a good distance from the original game, having incorporated playing cards instead of mere numbers into the game.
